RE: Your Heightmap and Ours
Hi all,
I noticed on your Team forum that you were having a discussion about the problems of landmass compatibility with other mods, and how best to avoid it. These are questions I might be able to help with, but it seems I can't post there directly. I hope you don't mind me posting it here.
Over at the Province Collaboration Thread on the official forums, we have been trying to come up with a solution to the problem.
The current plan is that a single heightmap for the whole of Tamriel will be developed, which could then be used by all the teams.
Preliminary testing by the Middle Earth mod group suggests that it is possible for a map of this size to run in the Skyrim engine.
The beauty of the plan is:
Even if each Province eventually decides to use a separate worldspace, as long as they use the same base heightmap, the landscapes will still match up at the edges and to scale with the other mods.
What are your thoughts on this?

Seems like a good Idea.
Great Idea, I think this may well save alot of trouble in the future.
